LIGHTFOOT FAMILY BAND to Perform Free Sunday Elm Tree Concert on MAY 31st
ARCADIA, OK — Music lovers are invited to enjoy an afternoon of live acoustic music under the shade of the elm trees as the Sunday Elm Tree Concert Series continues with a free performance by the Lightfoot Family Band on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
The Lightfoot Family Band is a Western Oklahoma-based folk, bluegrass, and country duo made up of husband and wife Josh and Tove Lightfoot. Known for their warm harmonies and authentic acoustic sound, the pair perform original songs alongside beloved 1940s and 1950s country and folk covers, featuring banjo, guitar, and harmonica.
Josh Lightfoot, a native of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Tove Lightfoot, originally from Gothenburg, Sweden, met in 2013 at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah. Tove’s passion for American folk music led her to Oklahoma, where the duo has spent nearly a decade making their living through music. Their performances have taken them to breweries, festivals, nursing homes, and even street corners, creating what they describe as a “colorful stir fry” of musical influences. In 2024, the duo released their album Welcome Home.
All Sunday Elm Tree Concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed and help support the ongoing maintenance and preservation of the Round Barn. The venue is located six miles east of Interstate 35 on historic Route 66.
The Sunday Elm Tree Concert Series features live acoustic shows in the shade and is sponsored by the Arcadia Historical & Preservation Society.
