Joe Baxter Celebrates Birthday with Elm Tree Concert at the Arcadia Round Barn on June 28th
ARCADIA, Okla. — Oklahoma singer-songwriter Joe Baxter will celebrate his birthday with a special Sunday Elm Tree Concert featuring his longtime band, The Lost Cause, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. under the historic elm tree at the Arcadia Round Barn.
A fourth-generation Oklahoman and longtime fixture in the state’s music scene, Baxter is known for his distinctive blend of folk, Americana, and roots music. Over his 30-year career, he has released 11 albums and earned recognition as a charter performer at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival and winner of the 2019 Red Dirt Relief Fund Gypsy Cafe Songwriter’s Contest.
In addition to his solo work, Baxter performed with the longtime Oklahoma City rock band The Regular Joes and currently plays with the Round Barn’s own house band, The Round Barn Ramblers.
“Joe Baxter’s songs paint vivid pictures of Oklahoma life, combining compelling storytelling with memorable melodies,” said Arcadia Historical & Preservation Society President Michelle Hara. “Joe Baxter and The Lost Cause offer audiences a unique opportunity to experience an authentic Oklahoma musical voice in one of the state’s most iconic historic settings.”
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the outdoor concert. Admission is free, and donations to support the preservation of the historic 1898 Arcadia Round Barn are appreciated.
