Live Music & Events

In addition to being open every day for visits and guided tours, the Round Barn offers special events throughout the year.

Sunday Elm Tree Concerts are outdoors, weather permitting, and take place on Sunday afternoons, 1P.M. to 3P.M. The 2024 season starts May 19th and goes through September 22nd. We host an extra Elm Tree show on holiday weekend Saturdays. Bring a chair and your beverage. Water available in the Gift Shop.

Saturday Morning Music Sessions take place at 10:30A.M. to 1:00P.M. every Saturday, yearlong, and feature bluegrass and acoustic string band music by the Round Barn’s own Round Barn Ramblers.

Round Barn Rendezvous is our 2nd Sunday open-jam-format acoustic music get together. All musicians are welcome to join us from Noon to 4P.M. every month on 2nd Sundays for the Rendezvous.

NOTE TO MUSICIANS
Round Barn Music Programs are free to the public. Bands and musicians wishing to schedule a performance should be aware up front that we are NOT a paying venue, and that all of our Elm Tree musicians kindly volunteer their time and talent to raising donations for the Barn.

Music at The Round Barn is free, and music events are open to the public.

Artists donate their time and talent in return for monetary donations from visitors, which solely benefit the operation and maintenance of The Barn.

All music event functions at the barn are family and pet-friendly.

Daily and weekly schedules, announcements and updates are available on Facebook @ “Arcadia Round Barn.”

Officially begun in January 2019, the “Morning Music Sessions” programs take place on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The shows are downstairs in the comfort of the Round Barn gift shop and are the perfect way for music lovers and barn enthusiasts to start a weekend. Donuts and coffee may be involved. MMS are scheduled acoustic performances by local and regional musical artists. The public is welcome, and donations are accepted. Morning Music Sessions are acoustic only.

Since 2010, “Round Barn Rendezvous” has taken place on the second Sunday of every month from noon to 4:00 p.m. The Rendezvous is an open jam, with ALL acoustic musicians welcome to come and play, regardless of skill level. Kids are welcome, and music teachers and students are encouraged to take part.

The format is a song circle, with all players taking turns. The public is welcome and donations are accepted. The Rendezvous takes place upstairs in the amazing barn loft, except in extremely hot weather, when we move outdoors to the shade. Music is acoustic only.

The Elm Tree Concerts were started in 2019 to provide an opportunity for full bands to play outdoor concerts in the shade of the massive old elm tree in the Round Barn picnic area. The plugged-in band shows are scheduled periodically throughout the late spring and summer seasons.

Shows may be scheduled either on Saturday or Sunday, with occasional extra concerts scheduled around holiday weekends. Shows are in the afternoon.

The public is welcome, and donations are accepted.

Round Barn music coordinator is Joe Baxter, call 405-833-1350 for more information.

Vintage car clubs and antique tractor clubs from across Oklahoma hold rallies at the Round Barn during the warm-weather months and are often invited to “circle the barn” with their vehicles.

The Round Barn Rendezvous on the second Sunday in February is a special Valentine’s edition, complete with love songs and chocolate treats.

Round Barn volunteers provide games for the kids and other spring break programming every year in March.

Arcadia-area veterans are invited to a free breakfast at 9 a.m. every Memorial Day.

A special Christmas edition of Round Barn Rendezvous is held on the second Sunday in December, weather permitting.
