DESCRIPTION:Singer-songwriters Larry Spears\, Dan Siebert and Joe Baxter will join forces for the Aug. 29 Elm Tree Concert at the Arcadia Round Barn. \n\n\n\nSpears\, a veteran of the Woody Guthrie Festival\, has been a songwriter for more than 50 years with more than 1\,000 songs to his credit. \n\n\n\nSiebert\, who lives in Stillwater\, performs his original music as well as songs from the originators of Oklahoma’s red dirt music scene such as Bob Childers\, Jimmy LaFave and Tom Skinner. \n\n\n\nBaxter\, who coordinates the live music at the Arcadia Round Barn\, leads The Regular Joes\, an original rock band\, as well as the Round Barn Ramblers\, the barn’s house band\, which plays every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Baxter’s latest CD is titled “Arcadia.” \n\n\n\nElm Tree Concerts start at 1 p.m. beneath the shade of the giant elm tree on the north side of the barn\, which is six miles east of Interstate 35 on historic Route 66. Admission is free but donations are accepted. The nonprofit Arcadia Round Barn is owned and operated by the Arcadia Historical and Preservation Society.

SUMMARY:Middle Sister — Elm Tree Concert
DESCRIPTION:The singer-songwriting duo “Middle Sister” will present an Elm Tree Concert from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday\, May 16\, at the Arcadia Round Barn. \n\n\n\nRobin Brooks and Susan Pierce first started performing together as music majors at Oklahoma City University. They continued in varied careers while raising families\, and when they reconnected in 2019\, they realized they were both writing original songs. They decided to team up\, and the result is a distinctive blend spotlighting vocal harmonies\, diverse instruments and imaginative lyricism. \n\n\n\nThe Elm Tree Concerts are held outdoors beneath the shade of the giant elm tree on the north side of the Round Barn\, where parking is handicap accessible. Guests can bring a lawn chair or sit at the picnic tables. Admission is free but donations are accepted.
